The Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in
France ahead of friendly clash with the Corsica
senior national team
The Nigerian national team posted via their twitter
handle: “We have arrived safely in Corsica. We
are camped at Best Western Hotel, Ajaccio
Amiraute.”
we can confirm that Ezenwa, Odey,
Olatunbosun, Alhassan Ibrahim, Ebuehi, Ekong,
Echiejile, Agbo, Awaziem, Etebo, Alampasu and
Onyekuru have all reported to camp in Corsica.
Other players are set to join the rest of the squad
including Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina who will join
after the English Emirates Cup final between
Arsenal and Chelsea FC on Sunday, May 28.
The three –time African champions will take on
the Corsica Senior Team at the Stade
Francois Coty in Ajaccio starting from 8pm on
Friday, 26th May, and then travel to Paris for the
game against the Hawks of Togo.
The match against the Hawks has been
scheduled for the Stade Municipal de Saint Leu
La Foret, Paris on Thursday, 1st June 2017,
starting from 7.30pm.
The Super Eagles will tackle South Africa in the
opening match of Group E of the 2019 Africa Cup
of Nations qualifying race at the Godswill Akpabio
International Stadium, Uyo.
The Nigerian national team Technical Adviser
Gernot Rohr called up Belgium –based forward
Henry Onyekuru in place of Austria Wien FC
poacher Olanrewaju Kayode, who is being held
back by club engagement.
